Benue State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Emenari Ifeanyi, has intensified security operations in identified flashpoints across the state, particularly Apa and Gwer West Local Government Areas, following recent deadly attacks.
In a renewed wave of violence, suspected bandits launched fresh assaults on some communities in Apa Naka, Gwer West LGA, killing several residents.
In response, CP Emenari has ordered the immediate deployment of additional tactical teams to reinforce existing formations in the affected areas.
