At least two people have died and 19 others remain missing after torrential rain triggered landslides in China’s southwestern Guizhou province on Thursday, with the military deployed to assist in rescue efforts.
The two dead were found in Changshi township, according to media report on Thursday.
A further landslide struck nearby Qingyang village, trapping 19 people from eight different households.
However, Authorities has issued risk warnings for geological disasters in nearby areas.
