Former Presidential Adviser, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has expressed concern over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s continued silence following the United States’ recent hard stance on Nigeria.
In a post shared on Thursday, Baba-Ahmed stated that the president ought to have personally addressed the nation by now.
He cautioned that the president’s silence gives the impression of a weak nation.
Responding to reports that President Tinubu may be planning a visit to the United States to meet with Donald Trump, Baba-Ahmed advised against such a move.
He also faulted the administration for its failure to appoint ambassadors more than a year after taking office.
