Expectations of Nigerians are high as new service chiefs take over the steering of the country’s security architecture.
Amid the worsening security situation in the country, occasioned by activities of Boko Haram terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other non-state actors, President Bola Tinubu last week appointed new service chiefs.
It also came at a time United States President, Donald Trump threatened military action in Nigeria over alleged genocidal killing of Christians.
Nigerians expect that the new Service Chiefs would carry out a total reorganisation at the tactical and operational levels of the ongoing counter-insurgency war in the Northeast and activities of other non-state actors across the country.
