Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended after failing a doping test, with the Football Association notifying the club of an “adverse finding” in his urine sample. Mudryk and Chelsea have expressed full support for the FA’s testing program.
Mudryk denied knowingly using any banned substances, expressing shock at the results. He stated he is working closely with his team to investigate the issue and remains hopeful of returning to play soon.
The violation could result in a ban ranging from two years to four years, depending on the circumstances. Mudryk, who joined Chelsea for £88.5 million in January 2023, has not played in the last five matches.
