I left home at 15 after my father opposed my music career – Asake

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has revealed that his father opposed his decision to pursue a career in music.
the Sungba crooner said he left his father’s house at 15 after being discouraged from following his passion.
He said, “The father who gave birth to me, he’s more stubborn than I am. So I couldn’t look him in the face. We were close when I was younger, but I came to a point when I wanted to leave home to do what I am doing now, but my father said no. But I just took off regardless. I was 15 then, focused on where I was going. And there was nothing anybody could tell me”.
The singer, however, said his love for his father remains unchanged, noting that nothing would alter their bond, even if his father points a gun at him, he’ll always be his father.
