Nigeria’s Falconets sealed the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over Ghana’s Black Princesses on Tuesday at Stade Omnisport d’Adjohoun in Benin Republic.
The win confirmed Nigeria as champions of the three-team tournament after an impressive series of performances across their matches.
Akekoromowei opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Alaba Olabiyi doubled the lead in the 24th minute.
Kareem added the final goal in the 61st minute to round off a comprehensive victory.
The Princesses, who had lost 3-1 to the Falconets on Saturday, struggled to contain the Nigerians, who were already 2-0 up before the 25th minute.
The win propelled Nigeria to nine points and a plus-eight goal difference, maintaining their record of scoring three goals in each of their three games.
