China has condemned United States President Donald Trump’s decision to impose 100 per cent tariffs on Chinese goods, describing it as “hypocritical” and warning that it could further strain global trade relations, Reuters reports.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said Washington’s move had undermined ongoing trade negotiations and damaged the atmosphere for economic cooperation between both countries.
The ministry said in a statement the U.S. actions have severely harmed China’s interests and undermined the atmosphere of bilateral economic and trade talks, and China is resolutely opposed to them,
