The Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Power Generation Companies, Joy Ogaji, has kicked against threats to disconnect generation companies from the national grid, warning that unstable transmission and market failures are damaging their plants and deepening losses.
The GenCos also demanded regulations mandating the immediate payment of their revenue by offtakers.
This is coming after threats by the Federal Government-owned Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission that GenCos who fail to install the Free Governor Control would be disconnected from the grid.
