As the clarion call and more strident voices continue to rise in support and campaign for the creation of Anioma State nationwide, 79 senators of the 10th National Assembly have endorsed the initiative by appending their signatures in support of the state’s creation.
Following this latest development, there are strong indications that more senators are set to join in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, traditional rulers from the South East have also declared their support for the creation of Anioma State, thus further solidifying the growing national consensus in that regard.
According to media report, the signatures of the Senators are being obtained sequel to the letter written and personally addressed to each of the senators of the 10th National Assembly by Sen. Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate.
