The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, met with his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, in Berlin on Thursday, in a bid to deepen economic and energy ties between Nigeria and Germany.
Nigeria is Germany’s second-largest trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa. The German foreign ministry has identified energy cooperation as a key area for bilateral economic relations.
Tuggar spoke about the need to intensify trade relations, particularly in critical raw materials and proposed stronger cooperation in labour migration.
